"This is not a political war at all. This is not a cultural war. This is a spiritual war. And the Father of Lies has his sights on what you would think the Father of Lies would have his sights on: a good, decent, powerful, influential country - the United States of America. If you were Satan, who would you attack in this day and age. There is no one else to go after other than the United States and that has been the case now for almost two hundred years, once America's preeminence was sown by our great Founding Fathers.

He didn't have much success in the early days. Our foundation was very strong, in fact, is very strong. But over time, that great, acidic quality of time corrodes even the strongest foundations. And Satan has done so by attacking the great institutions of America, using those great vices of pride, vanity, and sensuality as the root to attack all of the strong plants that has so deeply rooted in the American tradition.

He was successful. He attacks all of us and he attacks all of our institutions. The place where he was, in my mind, the most successful and first successful was in academia. He understood pride of smart people. He attacked them at their weakest, that they were, in fact, smarter than everybody else and could come up with something new and different. Pursue new truths, deny the existence of truth, play with it because they're smart. And so academia, a long time ago, fell.

And you say "what could be the impact of academia falling?" Well, I would have the argument that the other structures that I'm going to talk about here had root of their destruction because of academia. Because what academia does is educate the elites in our society, educates the leaders in our society, particularly at the college level. And they were the first to fall.

And so what we saw this domino effect, once the colleges fell and those who were being education in our institutions, the next was the church. Now you’d say, ‘wait, the Catholic Church’? No. We all know that this country was founded on a Judeo-Christian ethic but the Judeo-Christian ethic was a Protestant Judeo-Christian ethic, sure the Catholics had some influence, but this was a Protestant country and the Protestant ethic, mainstream, mainline Protestantism, and of course we look at the shape of mainline Protestantism in this country and it is in shambles, it is gone from the world of Christianity as I see it. So they attacked mainline Protestantism, they attacked the Church, and what better way to go after smart people who also believe they’re pious to use both vanity and pride to also go after the Church.

After that, you start destroying the Church and you start destroying academia, the culture is where their next success was and I need not even go into the state of the popular culture today. Whether its sensuality of vanity of the famous in America, they are peacocks on display and they have taken their poor behavior and made it fashionable. The corruption of culture, the corruption of manners, the corruption of decency is now on display whether it’s the NBA or whether it’s a rock concert or whether it’s on a movie set.

The fourth, and this was harder, now I know you’re going to challenge me on this one, but politics and government was the next to fall. You say, ‘you would think they would be the first to fall, as fallible as we are in politics,’ but people in political life get elected by ordinary folks from lots of places all over the country where the foundations of this country are still strong. So while we may certainly have had examples, the body politic held up fairly well up until the last couple of decades, but it is falling too."

Congratulations to Tim Tebow and the entire Denver Broncos team on an awesome win.

Tebow finished with 316 passing yards and set a playoff record with 31.6 yards per completion. If you're looking at those numbers twice, you should because your eyes aren't deceiving you. YES! 316 as in John 3:16.

Is Kurt Warner Right about Tim Tebow?

Former QB, Kurt Warner gave some football pointers to Tim Tebow but it had nothing to do with his actual game skills. Warner suggested that Tebow should tone down the religious rhetoric. According to AZ Central, Warner is quoted by saying, "You can't help but cheer for a guy like that," former NFL star Kurt Warner said. "But I'd tell him, 'Put down the boldness in regards to the words, and keep living the way you're living. Let your teammates do the talking for you. Let them cheer on your testimony.'

"I know what he's going through, and I know what he wants to accomplish, but I don't want anybody to become calloused toward Tim because they don't understand him, or are not fully aware of who he is. And you're starting to see that a little bit."

Apparently Warner is not alone about this. Former Bronco's QB Jake Plummer stated,

Tim Tebow

"I think he's a winner, and I respect that about him. I think that when he accepts the fact that we know that he loves Jesus Christ, then I think I'll like him even better. I don't hate him because of that. I just would rather not have to hear that every single time he takes a good snap or makes a good handoff. Like, you know, I understand, dude, where you're coming from. . . . But he is a baller."

Of course Plummer's statement gave Atheist and unbelievers alike a platform to stand on as they feel that religion should be separated from all sports. That's surprising. (sarcastically speaking)

Plummer immediately went on the defense by applying the fact that he wasn't "dissing Tebow about his faith" and he was merely suggesting that he should basically "chillax". (Chill + Relax...in case you didn't know.)

Warner is a born again Christian but stands in agreement with Plummer. So is Warner right about this? Should Tebow tone it down a bit? Absolutely! Your greatest sermon is not what you say, it's what you do and it's all good if "Tebowing" becomes your signature trademark reflecting your faith but your continuous preaching can be overwhelming for people who don't walk in the faith.

Tebow my friend, I stand with Warner on this fully. There's no need to wear a banner and parade your faith around. This doesn't mean hide your faith but let your light shine through your actions and performance. If you have to repeatedly tell someone that you're a Christian as if you're reminding them, then something's wrong. Trust me, people don't forget but they are constantly watching you. Look at Tony Dungy, Lovie Smith, even Kurt Warner just to name a few. There are some many Christian players and coaches in the NFL, so Tim Tebow is NOT the only one.

Christianity is NOT complex...

I've been on a few sites and blogs today and was truly baffled by all the confusion out there regarding Christianity. I suppose there's some psychological explanation to why humans make the simplest things so complex, but I'll leave that to the experts in that field.

Christianity is such a simple lifestyle but when you add the religion, that's when it turns out confusing. I don't know how to break it down any more than it has already been broken down. If you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord, you're saved. That's it. No bells or whistles. Just abide by His word and the walk of holiness. You've been redeemed by the blood of the Lamb. You're saved!
There are many people who find this troubling for whatever reason that may be. Many times it's because people enjoy the life of sin but they don't want to go to Hell either. You can't be double-minded. Choose this day whom you are willing to serve.

There are many who are lost and you don't have to be. Just stop. Stop everything that you're doing and ask the Lord for forgiveness. Ask Him to enter into your heart and change you. It's that simple. Please comment if you need a prayer partner. God bless you.

I'm pretty sure by now you've heard the term "Tebowing" if you're a sports fan but if not let me bring you in to the latest. The following is a re-post from Christine Thomasos, a Christian Post Reporter for ChristianPost.com.

"After some Detroit Lions players mocked Denver Broncos’ Tim Tebow’s prayer stance on the football field, some have questioned if lines were crossed and the QB’s faith was the butt of the joke.

Jemele Hill, ESPN reporter, said the QB’s faith should be off limits to opponents.

“Ridicule Tim Tebow for his slow release, for missing open receivers, for throwing passes that sail out of bounds, and for sometimes dancing in the pocket like someone put a firecracker in his cleats,” Hill wrote. “That's fair game. But mocking Tebow's Christian beliefs is not.”

However, Detroit linebacker Stephen Tulloch took to Twitter to explain that his actions may have been taken out of context.

“Football is a form of entertainment," Tulloch tweeted. "Have a sense of humor. I wasn't mocking GOD!"

Tony Scheffler, Lions’ tight end, joined in poking fun at the Tebow meme, after catching a touchdown pass and pretending to kneel with his hand on his forehead.

"It's one of those things where you're so amped up, especially being back kind of where it all started for me," Scheffler said after the game. "I was amped up just doing whatever came into my head. It was fun."

However, Hill made it very clear that prayer was a sensitive subject for many.

“Prayer is a sacred component of any religion,” Hill wrote in an ESPN report. “Making fun of someone else's spiritual connection is on par with ridiculing them about their family. You don't have to be a Christian to get that, just someone who understands the concept of respect.”

Jim Schwartz, Lions’ coach, said he did not like the way his team was being framed as villains.

“I don't think that's appropriate at all for anybody associated with the game to bill it that way and it was especially disappointing coming from an arm of the NFL," Schwartz said in an ESPN report.

While many have debated the issue, Tebow took to his Twitter to continue showcasing his Christian devotion.

“Only fear the Lord and serve him faithfully with all your heart,” Tebow tweeted. “For consider what great things he has done for you.”

Okay, so here's my take on this. Tebow, being the man of faith that he is, took the right action by removing the situation from his hands to the Lord's hands and simply moving. He forgave his enemies and called it a day. As for Tulloch's remark on Twitter I would have to say, "Sweetheart, no one stated you were "mocking GOD" per say, but what do you call mocking Tebow's faith?" Let's not forget the other player who was caught up in the moment, Scheffler. Of all the ways to celebrate that was the only thing you came up with? When you are so ignorant that you would rather defend your mocking of one's faith instead of simply apologizing to all who took offense is dreadfully absurd.

Please don't mistake me for some chick who's not into sports. I'm a die-hard Bears fan and no one made light of Head Coach Lovie Smith's faith nor Tony Dungy. Let's not forget former Arizona Cardinal's Kurt Warner who is also a devoted Christian. This list is endless, therefore it needs to be address. As it written in Gal. 6:7 "Don't be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows"

In a recent poll given by ESPN, nearly 75,000 responded to the question "What do you think Lions LB Stephen Tulloch was doing in dropping to a knee in prayerful pose after sacking Tim Tebow?". This resulted with 60% saying that Tulloch was definitely mocking Tebow while 40% stated he was just having fun. I'll include myself to the 60%. I have never seen anyone mock any of the Muslim players and I don't want to. No one of any faith or belief should be mocked.

Christians Can Go To Hell?

Christians in Hell? Well, maybe it'll sound better if I say, "hypocrites can go to Hell". Now before you get too happy, let's see if you can relate to any of the following series of questions. Are you the one dancing and shouting in church, then cussing, smoking and drinking after service? Are you the one stealing money from the church or its members? Are you the one gossiping about believers and judging unbelievers? Are you the one who's watching pornography behind closed doors? Are you the one who attends church just to socialize or network for your business? Are you the one who's going to church just to find a mate? Are you fornicating or committing adultery? Are you the one lusting after a married individual?

If you answered "yes" to any of these questions I can surely guarantee you are headed South. Those who have confessed to Christianity are held accountable for their words and actions. It's not what you say, it's what you do. The main excuses Christians use when they fall into these sinful traps is "God knows my heart", "God is too loving to send me to Hell", "The Bible says 'the flesh is weak' ". Let me tell you truthfully that when you are defending your sins and refusing to repent, you are headed for the worse type of destruction for your eternal soul. There are way too many Christians who act so much like the world, they're victims of mistaken identity in the faith by default. It would be better if you never knew Jesus at all then to know Him and then reject Him. Christianity is not a walk that should be taken lightly. For those who believe that God doesn't cast souls to Hell you're right; God doesn't put people in Hell, people do it themselves. Hell was never intended for human life. It was a place for Satan and the third of the falling angels who dishonored God.

After reading Mary K. Baxter's best-selling book A Divine Revelation of Hell, I knew personally that I was not living up to the calling on my life and the Christian responsibilities that I was accountable for. This is the reason why I can write this message. This is not a message of condemnation or judgment, yet it is from revelation knowledge. There are many who have confessed with their mouths that Jesus Christ is Lord yet never believed in their heart, and for this very reason our relationship with Christ has to be re-evaluated. For example, did you celebrate Halloween? Why? Despite the fact that you're a Believer, you took the liberty of celebrating a day dedicated to worship of Satan. Yes, we know there are hypocrites of the faith but I beg you, do not fall into the trap of the Enemy and become one of them. The Word of God says in Hosea 4:6, "my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. "Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children." Don't let ignorance stand in the way of your salvation. You were promised eternal life with Christ. You made a vow before God to live for Him when you accepted Jesus as Lord over your life. You can not serve both God and Mammon.

I will be discussing more on this topic within the next few months. I believe it's imperative for Christians to wake up and smell the sulfur. This is not the time to sleep. Souls are at stake and we are responsible to win souls for Christ, even if it's only one. We can no longer stand around and compromise the faith. Hell is real. Hell is hot and fury. Choose this day whom you will serve. Stop right now and ask God for His forgiveness, repent of your sins, and start living your life for Him and through Him.

The addiction. The struggle. The restoring.

Believe it or not there are many Christians who are silently fighting their temptation of lust and their addiction to pornography. If we're honest with ourselves we know exactly why these individuals won't come forward. How can one receive spiritual guidance from a condemning people? Yes, there are condemning and judgmental people within the church but this is why there are ministries outside the church "walls", yet they are still part of the church "body". These ministries are designed to help anyone who seeks deliverance from sexual sin (fornication, homosexuality, pornography, adultery, lust, etc.) to do so without embarrassment and shame.

The statistics for Christians addicted to porn are as follows:

50% of Christian men are addicted to porn
20% of Christian women are addicted to porn
47% of Christian families have expressed porn is an issue in their home

These numbers come from Pure Life Ministries, which is just one of the many ministries who have dedicated their time and effort to assisting countless men and women struggling with sex and porn addiction.

Porn has been attributed to breaking up family dwellings through divorce, separation, neglect, isolation and abandonment. Wives have become outraged with the competition of porn and the lack of love and affection received from their husbands. Porn has also destroyed single couples, caused job loss and even arrests for molestation, sexual assault and harassment just to name a few. Teens are battling porn through peer pressure and the usual sexual curiosity of adolescents.

Christians who find themselves in this predicament try to fight their flesh but it's impossible. We don't have control over our flesh, we were never given the power to control such strongholds. The Holy Spirit has the power to fight any spiritual battle and simultaneously give you strength to endure and overcome any obstacle. Your only position is to pray and believe God for the healing and deliverance to take root. The weapons of your warfare are not carnal but spiritual. There's absolutely nothing you can do besides call on Jesus for help, guidance and direction through prayer and scripture.

"For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

Matthew 11:30

It sounds extremely easy to recover from the fall of sin; just pray and move on. I assure you it sounds a lot easier but the temptation is grand. In Matthew 26:41 and Mark 14:38 it reads, "Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the body is weak." So you will have to pray. Pray against the lustful desires of fantasy and sexual sin, you will not be defeated with Christ.

The Truth Behind Halloween

Many believe that Christians are being stiff-necked to take away fun from the kids. That couldn't be further away from the truth, but Halloween is something that shouldn't be taken likely. It's not just a day of fun for the kids to dress up and get candy. She Dared to Dream. They Dared to Believe.

Coptic Christians in Egypt Needs Our Prayers

CAIRO (AP) — Egypt's Coptic church blasted authorities Monday for allowing repeated attacks on Christians with impunity as the death toll from a night of rioting rose to 26, most of them Christians who were trying to stage a peaceful protest in Cairo over an attack on a church.

The spiritual leader of the Coptic Christian minority, Pope Shenouda III, declared three days of mourning, praying and fasting for the victims starting on Tuesday and also presided over funerals for some of the Christians killed. Sunday's sectarian violence was the worst in Egypt since the uprising that ousted Hosni Mubarak in February.

"Strangers got in the middle of our sons and committed mistakes to be blamed on our sons," the Coptic church said in a statement. It lamented "problems that occur repeatedly and go unpunished."

The clashes Sunday night raged over a large section of downtown Cairo and drew in Christians, Muslims and security forces. They began when about 1,000 Christian protesters tried to stage a peaceful sit-in outside the state television building along the Nile in downtown Cairo. The protesters said they were attacked by "thugs" with sticks and the violence then spiraled out of control after a speeding military vehicle jumped up onto a sidewalk and rammed into some of the Christians.

There is no precise breakdown of how many Christians and Muslims were among the victims, but the 26 are believed to be mostly Christian. Officials said at least three soldiers were among the dead. Nearly 500 people were injured. Egypt's official news agency said dozens have been arrested.

Much smaller skirmishes broke out again Monday outside the Coptic hospital where many of the Christian victims were taken the night before. Several hundred Christians pelted police with rocks outside while the screams of grieving women rang out from inside the hospital. Some of the hundreds of men gathered outside held wooden crosses and empty coffins were lined up outside the hospital.

There were no word on casualties from the new clashes.

Christians, who make up about 10 percent of Egypt's 85 million people, blame the ruling military council that took power after the uprising for being too lenient on those behind a spate of anti-Christian attacks since Mubarak's ouster. The chaotic power transition has left a security vacuum, and the Coptic Christian minority is particularly worried about a show of force by ultraconservative Islamists, known as Salafis.

In recent weeks, riots have broken out at two churches in southern Egypt, prompted by Muslim crowds angry over church construction. One riot broke out near the city of Aswan, even after church officials agreed to a demand by ultraconservative Muslims known as Salafis that a cross and bells be removed from the building.

Aswan's governor, Gen. Mustafa Kamel al-Sayyed, further raised tensions by suggesting to the media that the church construction was illegal.

Christian protesters are demanding the ouster of the governor, reconstruction of the church, compensation for people whose houses were set on fire and prosecution of those behind the riots and attacks on the church.

The European Union strongly condemned the violence.

"It is about time that the Egyptian leadership understands the importance of religious plurality and tolerance," German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle said. "It's very important that the Egyptian authorities reaffirm freedom of worship in Egypt," added British Foreign Secretary William Hague.

Egyptian Prime Minister Essam Sharaf warned in a televised address that the riots were another setback on the country's already fraught transition to civilian rule after three decades of Mubarak's authoritarian government.

"These events have taken us back several steps," Sharaf said. He blamed foreign meddling for the troubles, claiming it was part of a "dirty conspiracy." Similar explanations for the troubles in Egypt are often heard from the military rulers who took power from Mubarak, perhaps at attempt to deflect accusations that they are bungling the management of the country.

"Instead of moving forward to build a modern state on democratic principles, we are back to seeking stability and searching for hidden hands — domestic and foreign — that meddle with the country's security and safety," Sharaf said.

Sunday's violence will likely prompt the military to further tighten its grip on power.

The ruling military council led by Field Marshal Hussein Tantawi, defense minister of 20 years under Mubarak's former regime, took over after the 18-day popular uprising forced Mubarak to step down. The military initially pledged to hand back power to a civilian administration in six months, but that deadline has passed, with parliamentary elections now scheduled to start in late November. According to a timetable floated by the generals, presidential elections could be held late next year.

Already, the military council said it had no intention to lift the widely hated emergency laws in place since Mubarak first took office in 1981.

Tension has been growing between the military and the youth groups that engineered the uprising, with activists blaming the generals for mishandling the transition period, human rights violations and driving a wedge between them and ordinary Egyptians.

"The army incites sedition to remain in power," said Mariam Ayoub, a relative of a slain Christian protester, Michael Mosaad, as she stood outside the Coptic hospital. "They tell all of us that this is what happens without emergency laws."

State television said authorities stepped up security at vital installations in anticipation of renewed unrest, deploying additional troops outside parliament and the Cabinet. Riot police were also stationed outside the Coptic hospital. Funeral services were planned in the afternoon at the main Coptic Cathedral in Cairo.

The clashes on Sunday night did not appear to be exclusively sectarian.

State TV, which has been growing increasingly loyal to the military, appealed on "honorable" Egyptians to protect the army against attacks as news spread of clashes between the Christian protesters and the troops outside the TV building. Soon afterward, bands of young men armed with sticks, rocks, swords and firebombs began to roam central Cairo, attacking Christians. Troops and riot police did not intervene to stop the attacks on Christians.

Throughout the night, the station cast the Christian protesters as a violent mob attacking the army and public property. At one point, Information Minister Osama Heikal went on the air to deny that the station's coverage had a sectarian slant, but acknowledged that its presenters acted "emotionally."

The military council ordered the Cabinet to investigate the violence and pledged measures to safeguard Egypt's security.

Christian Irish farmer orders Rihanna to cover up

Belfast, Northern Ireland (CNN) -- Pop superstar Rihanna has been ordered to cover up by a Christian farmer who took exception to her "inappropriate behavior" while filming a music video on his land.

The controversy has erupted in Northern Ireland and was even discussed Tuesday by lawmakers in the province's elected Assembly in Belfast.

Rihanna, who was born in Barbados but has Irish ancestry, is in Northern Ireland this week for sold-out shows at Belfast's Odyssey Arena.

The 23-year-old had been given permission to film a video for the song "We Found Love" in a muddy barley field owned by farmer Alan Graham outside Bangor, about 10 miles from Belfast.

Graham explained Tuesday, "I didn't know who was coming. If the name 'Rihanna' had been mentioned, well, no disrespect, but it wouldn't have meant anything."

However, he says that when he went to get his tractor Monday and saw the singer stripping down to a bikini top, he stepped in to end the shoot.

The local political representative said he "asked the film crew to stop, and they did."

Graham insisted that "there were no hard feelings."

He added: "I had a conversation with Rihanna; we shook hands; we parted company on good terms. I found her very gracious, and I hope she understands where I'm coming from. I wish her well."

Word had quickly spread of Rihanna's surprise appearance in the Northern Irish countryside, and traffic came to a standstill as fans attempted to catch a glimpse of the star.

Graham's wife shed more light on the incident Tuesday, revealing that Rihanna had gone topless.

Said Mrs. Graham, who declined to give her first name, "What she was doing became more inappropriate. When she started to go topless, that's what Alan was particularly objecting to -- things were getting out of hand. There was a man as well, and the behavior was getting more inappropriate. ... It wasn't the sort of thing Alan wanted young people (those watching) to see on his land. We are Christians."

However, Mrs. Graham added: "The girl was very nice; she shook hands with Alan several times" after he asked for the filming to stop.

Not to be deterred, Rihanna was back filming again in Belfast on Tuesday.

But the controversy of the sexy shoot in the barley field rumbled on -- and even made it onto the agenda at the Northern Ireland Assembly.

Graham is a local representative with the pro-British Democratic Unionist Party (formerly led by Protestant preacher the Rev. Ian Paisley), and the Rihanna row led to a light-hearted exchange between lawmakers in the Northern Ireland Assembly on Tuesday.

Mike Nesbitt, of rival pro-British party the Ulster Unionists, addressed Democratic Unionist leader Peter Robinson, Northern Ireland's first minister.

Nesbitt said, "I wonder if the first minister has had an opportunity to assess the potential damage from the news that the pop icon Rihanna was foiled in her filming ambitions yesterday, which I believe were no more sinister than appearing in a field in red, white and blue." (The latter are the colors of the British flag as well as the American one).

Robinson replied, "I'm pretty sure there was no problem with the colors involved!"

Robinson had just been telling the Assembly of his recent trade mission to the United States to encourage Hollywood studios to make more movies in Northern Ireland.

Google is Digitizing the Dead Sea Scrolls

Google in the Holy Land? Absolutely! I've just learned that Google has partnered with the Israel Museum in Jerusalem to make the Dead Sea Scrolls available online. Of course this is nothing new, because they've been available online for quite some time now. The hoopla is coming from the fact that Google is digitizing the scrolls.

Many Christians have their opinions about the Dead Sea Scrolls, but during my study time with RBC Ministries and Moody Bible Institute, I feel a surge of gratitude that Google is making this big step. The Dead Sea Scrolls actually confirms the Bible's legitimacy and the recordings of events.

According to Forbes, there are currently five scrolls online. Check out the YouTube video above if you haven't already done so.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado (AP) — Former megachurch pastor Ted Haggard and Hollywood actor Gary Busey are trading partners for a week for an upcoming edition of ABC-TV's "Celebrity Wife Swap."

Haggard's wife Gayle will temporarily move in with Busey. It was unclear if the actor's longtime girlfriend would be the one to stay with Haggard under the arrangement. Haggard's New Life Church in Colorado Springs had about 14,000 followers when he resigned in 2006 after a man said Haggard paid him for sex for more than three years. The reality show isn't about infidelity, but about wives experiencing daily life in another wife's home.

The Denver Post says the network and the production company confirmed the program plans.

I want to thank all of you for your efforts and dedication to Human Rights and Human Kindness, in the past year I have experienced such emotion, joy, sadness and never ending faith. It is because of all of you that I am alive today, as I look at my sister Martina I am marveled by the love she has for me and of course I worry about her and her health, but as she tells me she is the eldest and she will not back down from this fight to save my life and prove to the world that I am innocent of this terrible crime.

As I look at my mail from across the globe, from places I have never ever dreamed I would know about and people speaking languages and expressing cultures and religions I could only hope to one day see first hand. I am humbled by the emotion that fills my heart with overwhelming, overflowing Joy. I can’t even explain the insurgence of emotion I feel when I try to express the strength I draw from you all, it compounds my faith and it shows me yet again that this is not a case about the death penalty, this is not a case about Troy Davis, this is a case about Justice and the Human Spirit to see Justice prevail.

I will admit that I have been hearing this story about Troy Davis for a few years now. Davis is a Death Row inmate who allegedly shot and killed Officer Mark MacPhail in 1989 while on duty. In this case, Officer MacPhail was assisting a homeless man who apparently was being assaulted. The details of his murder is beyond humane and is not worthy of its graphic and horrific content, but the question at hand is whether or not that shooter is Troy Davis. What proof does the court have and why is this ongoing case of more than 20 years still in the public's eye?

Honestly, I've never thought much about the case until fairly recently. I'll admit that I was skeptical about what the big deal really was, yet on tonight may be Davis' very last via lethal injection. I truly oppose Capital Punishment because I believe in keeping The 10 Commandments. I also believe that any wrong that has been done against you will be justified by the vengeance and recompense of the Lord. I have come to learn from the eagerness of his family's cry for justice, his supporters anxious plea for freedom, and an intense yet confident group of attorneys on Troy's behalf working diligently for an appeal, with newly-found evidence and witnesses, who can prove his innocence to a "justice system" that lacks the stability of its title.

Now of course I wasn't on the jury and I'm not certain that the evidence Davis' attorneys have, and whether it's enough to actually free this man; I don't even know if it's true that witnesses from the case has since changed their testimonies as some are claiming. Yet I do know that this man wants to prove his innocence and was denied a polygraph test (lie detector test) and the time, energy and effort being utilized to bring worldwide attention and awareness of this case is endless. Therefore the Georgia Board of Pardons and Parole won't hear the last of it if the execution, which is scheduled for tonight at 7pm (CST), goes as anticipated. They aren't the only ones either.

For 20+ years this case has been going on and for 20+ years I've always believed that people are innocent until proven guilty. Apparently that's not the case. There's a significant amount of evidence that's being ignored in this case and I want to know why. As I mentioned, the Georgia Board of Pardons and Parole are not the only ones who will be losing sleep over this decision and that goes for the mother of slain Officer Mark MacPhail as well. I understand that you're grieving the lost of your child but with all due respect, grieving for 22 years over the death of your adult child to the point that the only sense of closure you can get is through capital punishment is a little...well...disturbing, because even though you want "to close the book", the book will always remain open. That's the Book of Judgment where the Judge above every judge will smite those who do unjustly acts. If Troy really is innocent, this will only bring more anxiety than she bargained for. Trust me, you'll never get closure.

On a side note, Ms. MacPhail is not the first mother who has lost a son or a daughter in a line of duty, and she won't be the last. It's not about comparing the types of deaths, which ones are worse than the other, or whose sentence should be changed from death row yet it's not often you hear that someone is convicted of killing an officer and receives the death penalty. That's why I am more than certain that there is something deeper in this case that may or may not have been disclosed to the general public, yet it may have been addressed in court. The MacPhail family and supporters are more than confident that Troy Davis is the one who killed their beloved family member. So there is something missing in the story and it doesn't take 20 years to get it out.

So Twitter, Facebook and other social media outlets has the entire world talking but talking about what? What's everyone getting involved for and what's the passion behind the zeal? Every state within the U.S. has its different laws yet one may ponder how united are the United States after all? Only a couple of months ago we saw a nationwide case that raised many eyebrows, the Casey Anthony case, a mother charged with the murder of her child. She was found not guilty by a Florida court and freed. It was less than 20 years and even though there was evidence, it wasn't enough to convince the jury she was guilty. Let's not forget the high profile case of OJ Simpson, who was charged for the murder of his ex[wife, Nicole Brown-Simpson. Once again there wasn't enough evidence to convict him, even with a soiled glove and a murder weapon; it took less than 20 years and the California jury did not find Simpson guilty. So what's the deal with the Georgia Board of Pardons and Parole? What kind of example are they trying to make out of Troy Davis, if any? We could easily play the race but I am not in favor of such bitter actions. This is beyond race and skin color. This is about a flawed judicial system where this could happen to absolutely anyone within this country, depending on the laws of that state.

UPDATE: As of 8:00am (CST) Troy Davis' attorneys were filing a last minute appeal to halt his execution for later today, according to CBS News in Atlanta. In addition, the NAACP reported that "Troy will refuse his last meal...yet he still has faith that his life will be spared."

UPDATE: Troy Davis is now deceased.

Courageous - In Theaters September 30:

Courageous is the must-see Christian movie of the year, well at least in my opinion. I'm a huge fan of the Kendrick Brothers, which they are best known by their production name Sherwood Pictures. Forget about what you previously thought about low budget films, once again they have proven that God has no limits when getting His message out. You may recognize other movie titles by Sherwood Pictures if I say, "Facing the Giants, Flywheel and Fireproof" which featured Kirk Cameron. Courageous is an action-packed cop movie without the guts and gore Hollywood loves to embrace.

The movie itself is about four police officers who live courageously on the job to serve and protect, yet fail to be just as courageous in their homes while trying to tackle fatherhood.
